There are many easy way to improve your current commercial diet, you can simply add some animal organs in the diet.  Do not add grain as most commercial diet has already full of grain and in turn carbohydrate and sugar.

Organs meet to consider are Liver, Kidney, Hearts, and Gizzards etc.  These organs are nutritional and can easily prepared.  Start with a smaller quantity and liver should be fed in small amount only as it might lead to diarrhea.  The most simple preparation is to boil them and feed them to your dogs.
